As part of the Manitoba government’s response to the situation in Ukraine, and following the special immigration measures in coordination with IRCC i.e. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the Canadian province of Manitoba conducted a Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Draw, on March 9, 2022. The draw was published on March 10, 2022, by Manitoba Immigration.
A total of 71 expressions of interest, or invitations, were only issued to immigrants who:
- • Are a citizen of Ukraine
- • Have a valid language test with a minimum score of CLB 4 in each module (i.e. Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
- • Have a strong connection within Manitoba (i.e. close relative, family-like, community, previous employment or studies in Manitoba)
- • Have a minimum score of 60 points according to MPNP assessment criteria
Manitoba is the second province, after Saskatchewan, to invite immigrants via the Provincial Nominee Program, under special immigration measures.
