Canada with their vision of 2021-2023, have come to realize the importance of the immigrant workforce of their country. To facilitate more inflow of workers into Canada the government has come up with the Federal Skilled Worker Program which aims to give opportunities to skilled and knowledgeable people to come and work in Canada.
The Federal Skilled Workers (FSWP) is one of three processing programs that are a part of Express Entry, for processing Permanent Residency applications. This is done so by maintaining a comprehensive ranking system where all individuals are awarded points. This makes the FSW program or all programs that are a part of the Canada Express Entry, highly competitive.
An individual requires 67 points to be considered eligible for FSW, these points are given based on various parameters, some of which being, the individual’s educational qualifications, the age of the individual, their work experience, and their adaptability to the Canadian system of living. Fluency in English and French are also given points through this system.
If one is eligible to apply under the Federal Skilled Workers Program, the individual may submit their profile to express entry, which is a new online application system for immigration categories.
To be considered for FSW the prerequisites one requires are a job offer from a major Canadian firm, the individual in question must be eligible to work in Canada, and must have sufficient money to facilitate their livelihoods and the livelihoods of those who are dependent on them.
