Prince Edward Island the tiniest province of Canada, located on the east coast of North America, is the perfect spot to live, work, and raise your family. The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), launched in 2001, allows immigrants to work, live, and grow by welcoming new ideas and possibilities that help the province excel socially and economically.
Since the PNP and Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) programs were established in 2001 and 2017, respectively, the province has been drawing more immigrants. Employers in Canada’s Atlantic Provinces are now able to hire foreign workers to fill open positions that could not be filled locally thanks to the AIP.
The PEI PNP Express Entry category is one of the PNP’s improved categories. The types for business impact and labor impact serve as its two fundamental subcategories. An “improved” category is one that is compatible with the federal Express Entry system. Under its primary economic class immigration programs, Canada manages applications for permanent residency through the Express Entry system.
You will receive a point score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if you are in the Express Entry pool. Canada organizes Express Entry draws frequently and invites the top applicants to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
You receive an extra 600 CRS points after being nominated through a province scheme that has been upgraded, such as the PEI PNP Express Entry. With this increase, you are certain of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in the upcoming draw. Also, your nomination is sent to you via your Express Entry profile.
You can pick any of three pathways as per your profile:
PEI PNP Express Entry – Candidates for the PEI PNP Express Entry must have a valid Express Entry profile, want to live and work on Prince Edward Island, and have talents that are in demand in the local labor market at the moment.
Labor Impact Category: The Labor Impact Category is for professionals and foreign graduates with the qualifications required by PEI’s labor market. There are three streams within this category:
Business Impact Category – Investors in PEI businesses should consider the Business Impact Category. To learn more about the company you are investing in before being nominated by the province, you are given the opportunity to live and work in PEI.
Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program – Participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) in Prince Edward. The AIPP is an initiative for economic growth that was developed in partnership by Canada’s Atlantic Provinces and the federal government. AIPP accelerates the immigration process for immigrants who have obtained a job offer from a reputable company in the Atlantic region.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you or your representative must create a profile in the Expression of Interest system for Prince Edward Island.
