The new International Education Stream (IES) of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is for Manitoba graduates is dedicated to providing international students graduating in Manitoba with faster pathways to nomination, while also meeting the needs of industry.
There are three pathways:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneur Pilot
The Graduate Internship Pathway is one of the most expedited nomination pathways for international students who completed their master’s and doctoral degrees through internships that contributed to Manitoba’s industry innovation.
Graduates who complete an Accelerate or Elevate internship with Mitacs in Manitoba are eligible to apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) immediately after graduation, regardless of the job offer.

Completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate (including Accelerate Entrepreneur) internship with a Manitoba eligible industry or research enterprise. |
| Employment in Manitoba |
You are not required to have a job offer at the time of application |
| Settlement Funds |
You must demonstrate liquid funds equivalent to Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) requirements for independent financial resources for a six-month period.
OR
You must be employed in a full-time, long-term position in Manitoba. |
| Adaptability |
You must be a Manitoba resident at the time of application.
You must demonstrate your intent to remain in Manitoba after nomination, including the submission of a Career Employment Plan outlining opportunities for a successful career path in Manitoba.
