Updated AITSL Skills Assessment Fees (Effective 1 July 2025)

Starting 1 July 2025, AITSL will implement new fees for applications submitted via its online portal. Applications submitted on or before 30 June 2025 will follow the current fee structure. The new fees are:

  • Skills Assessment Application: AUD 1,154
  • Appeal of Assessment Outcome: AUD 904
  • Skilled Employment Statement (SES): AUD 255
  • Partial Refund Amount (if applicable): AUD 946

Note: No Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applied to AITSL assessment fees.

For comparison, the fees in place since 1 September 2021, which remain applicable until 30 June 2025, are:

  • Skills Assessment Application: AUD 1,050
  • Appeal of Assessment Outcome: AUD 868

List of Occupations Evaluated by AITSL

AITSL assesses qualifications for the following teaching occupations, each requiring specific documentation as outlined in the relevant checklist:

  • Primary School Teacher (ANZSCO 241213): Educators teaching children in early education settings.
  • Middle School Teacher (ANZSCO 241311): Teachers specializing in intermediate schooling levels.
  • Secondary School Teacher (ANZSCO 241411): Professionals teaching high school students.
  • Special Needs Teacher (ANZSCO 241511): Educators supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Teacher of the Hearing Impaired (ANZSCO 241512): Specialists in teaching students with hearing impairments.
  • Teacher of the Sight Impaired (ANZSCO 241513): Educators trained to support visually impaired students.
  • Special Education Teachers (nec) (ANZSCO 241599): Other specialized teaching roles not elsewhere classified.
