What are the steps to Apply for BC PNP?
Category Selection: Once a candidate has determined the appropriate category for their immigration application, they can register online and receive a registration score based on their eligibility and qualifications.
Weekly Draws: The BC PNP conducts weekly draws to select the highest-scoring application registrants from the pool of candidates. However, the number of invitations issued may be subject to the program’s processing capacity.
Application Submission: Candidates who receive an invitation to apply must submit a complete online application within 30 days from the date of the invitation. As part of the application process, a fee of 1150 CAD is charged to the government (BC PNP fee is to be increased to $1,475 CAD FROM August 1, 2023).
Priority Processing: Applications submitted through the BC PNP are given top priority in processing, which helps expedite the assessment of the candidate’s eligibility for nomination.
Nomination and Permanent Residence: If the candidate’s application is approved, they will receive a nomination from the BC PNP. This nomination is a crucial step as it allows the applicant to apply for permanent residence in Canada through a separate application to the federal immigration authorities.
Work Permit Support Letter: Candidates who have been nominated and meet the criteria for their nomination will be provided with a work permit support letter. This letter enables them to apply for a new work permit or renew their existing one, allowing them to continue working in Canada while their application for permanent residence is being processed.
