On September 28th, 2023 the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Marc Miller, has issued Ministerial Instructions under the Express Entry system for invitations to apply for permanent residence. This latest round of invitations is focused on candidates in Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations. This was the first time the draw was conducted for this field. They invited 600 people to apply for jobs in agriculture and food. To get invited, you needed a score of at least 354 on a special test. Canada wants skilled people to work in farming and food.
This week, Canada has already invited people two times before. On Monday, 500 people who speak French well got invited. On Sunday, 3,000 people got invited to come to Canada for different jobs. They needed a higher score, at least 504, for that. So, if you know about farming and food, Canada might want you to come work there!
