How to apply for Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program?

To apply for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), which is a provincial nominee program in Canada, you need to follow these steps:

  • Determine your eligibility: Before applying, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements for one of the SINP streams. The SINP offers various streams, including the International Skilled Worker Category, the Saskatchewan Experience Category, and the Entrepreneur Category. Each stream has its own specific criteria, such as work experience, education, language proficiency, and connection to Saskatchewan.
  • Choose the appropriate stream: Review the eligibility criteria for each stream and determine which one is most suitable for your situation and qualifications. The International Skilled Worker Category is popular among individuals with work experience outside of Canada, while the Saskatchewan Experience Category is for individuals who have already worked or studied in Saskatchewan.
  • Create an online profile: Create an online profile through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program website. Provide detailed information about your skills, work experience, education, language ability, and other relevant factors. This profile will be assessed based on the specific requirements of your chosen stream.
  • Obtain supporting documents: Gather all the necessary documents to support the information you provided in your profile. These may include identification documents, educational certificates, language test results, proof of work experience, and more. Ensure that all documents are properly translated and notarized if required.
  • Submit your profile: Once you have completed your profile and gathered all the required documents, submit your profile online. Your profile will then be assessed by the SINP. If your profile meets the requirements of your chosen stream, you may receive an invitation to apply.
  • Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA): If your profile is selected, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the SINP. This invitation will provide you with instructions on how to complete the application process.
  • Complete the application: After receiving an ITA, you must complete the application process within the given timeframe. Follow the instructions provided by the SINP and provide all the requested information and supporting documents. Pay the required application fees.
  • Wait for a decision: After submitting your application, you will need to wait for the SINP to process it. Processing times can vary, but you can check the current estimated processing times on the official SINP website. During this time, the SINP may request additional information or documents if needed.
  • Receive a nomination: If your application is approved, you will receive a nomination from the SINP. This nomination allows you to apply for permanent residency with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as a provincial nominee.
  • Apply for permanent residency: After receiving the nomination, you must apply for permanent residency with IRCC. Follow the instructions provided by IRCC, submit the required documents, and pay the applicable fees. IRCC will assess your application for permanent residency based on federal immigration requirements.
