Explore PR OptionsThe Victorian Points Test (VPT) is a ranking framework for Victoria's skilled migration Registration of Interest (ROI). It helps assess applicants seeking Victorian nomination for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).
Use the calculator below to estimate your VPT ranking score and check key preliminary eligibility conditions. The VPT is separate from the federal SkillSelect points test and does not have a fixed passing score.
The VPT considers age, English proficiency, experience in the nominated occupation, education, occupation skill level, partner skills and eligible skilled earnings in Victoria. It is used for ranking, not as a replacement for visa eligibility requirements.
Select your intended visa subclass, provide your federal points and basic eligibility details, and enter the seven VPT factors. Click Calculate My VPT Score to see your estimated total and a breakdown of the points awarded.
Enter only information that you can substantiate with documents. The result is a preliminary screening, not an official eligibility decision.
Green: Basic screening criteria appear satisfied; you may be able to proceed to the next stage after verifying all requirements.
Red: One or more mandatory screening conditions have not been met.
Amber: Your details require manual verification before an eligibility conclusion can be reached.
Important: Victoria has no fixed VPT passing score. An estimated high score does not guarantee selection, an invitation, nomination or visa approval. Additional requirements, especially for subclass 491, must be checked separately.
