Alberta PNP Points Calculator (2026)

Use this Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) Worker Expression of Interest calculator to estimate your ranking score under the official 100-point Worker EOI grid. The score does not confirm eligibility for a particular AAIP stream or guarantee an invitation.

Grid updated 28 September 2026. Alberta awards up to 69 points for human capital and 31 for economic factors. You must have at least CLB/NCLC 4 across all four abilities in English or French to submit a Worker EOI. The Worker EOI fee is CAD $135 and registrations remain valid for 12 months.

Complete each section for your estimated score and eligibility observations.

1 Education & age

The family relationship must be yours by birth or legal adoption, not an in-law. Education location points apply only when the highest credential was completed in Canada.

2 Official languages

Use the lowest CLB/NCLC of listening, reading, writing and speaking from a valid approved test. Enter both languages if available; Alberta awards the higher general-language score, plus bilingual points where applicable.

Approved tests include IELTS General Training, CELPIP General, PTE Core, TEF Canada and TCF Canada. Tests older than two years are flagged in red and excluded from scoring.

3 Work experience

Experience must be paid and full-time. Canadian experience must have been authorized. Alberta and other-Canada experience points are not added together.

4 Alberta job offer & economic factors

The 6-point rural/sector bonus is awarded only once. Location points require a qualifying job offer. Regulated-occupation points require the appropriate Alberta-recognized licence or trade certification.

5 Preliminary stream screening

NOC, wage, hours and stream details can influence targeted draws even when they carry no direct grid points. Meeting the language minimum and having an EOI score does not establish stream eligibility.

How the Alberta Worker EOI points grid works

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program ranks Worker Expressions of Interest out of 100 points. Human capital accounts for 69 points: education (22), language (13), work experience (21), age (5), and Alberta family connections (8). Economic factors account for 31 points: job offer (up to 16), job location (5), and qualifying regulated occupation (10).

There is no overall minimum score required to register, but you must meet the official language minimum and the eligibility criteria of at least one worker stream. Alberta may target specific occupations, sectors and other labour-market priorities regardless of EOI score. Worker EOIs remain valid for 12 months; the submission fee is CAD $135.
