Who Can Apply?

Relevant applicant profile: Eligible graduates of qualifying Danish programmes; not general overseas jobseekers.

  • For specified third-country students in state-approved programmes, applications submitted on or after 1 October 2026 generally fall under a one-year post-study job-seeking period.
  • For relevant applications submitted before 1 October 2026, the earlier maximum of three years can apply.
  • PhD students are not affected by that change and may remain eligible for up to three years under the relevant rules.
  • The date of the qualifying application and programme category matter; family rights and work rights must be checked separately.
Important eligibility restriction: Do not treat this route as an unrestricted jobseeker visa. Verify the applicable conditions with the immigration authority before making travel, payment or employment decisions.
