Ontario OINP EOI Points Calculator (2026)

Estimate your Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Expression of Interest (EOI) score under the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream. Ontario replaced its previous eight streams in June 2026. The new stream accepts qualifying Ontario job-offer applicants and eligible self-employed physicians.

Current as of 16 October 2026. Ontario added a 10-point Canadian earnings band for at least CAD $80,000 in one year, effective 5 October 2026. No minimum EOI score guarantees an invitation. This is a ranking estimate, not an eligibility approval.

Complete each section to see your score and a separate preliminary eligibility screen.

1 Applicant pathway & occupation

For a five-digit NOC, the first digit normally indicates its broad occupational category; the second indicates TEER. Verify the occupation against NOC 2021 before claiming points.

2 Ontario employment & earnings

Earnings must be supported by a single CRA Notice of Assessment, not combined across years. Location must reflect the actual employment or eligible medical practice address.

3 Education

Foreign education generally requires a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). Credential categories must match Ontario's definitions.

4 Language proficiency

Enter the lowest CLB/NCLC across listening, reading, writing and speaking for each valid approved test. If you have both languages, the stronger valid result determines language-ability points. Tests are normally valid for two years.

Accepted tests: IELTS General Training, CELPIP General, PTE Core, TEF Canada and TCF Canada. Convert individual module scores using the language conversion tool if available. IELTS Academic and One Skill Retake are not accepted.

5 Preliminary eligibility screening

Some occupations have special rules. This screen cannot verify employer finances, wages, NOC duties, licences, invitation status or all stream-specific exceptions.

How the Ontario Workforce Priority EOI score works in 2026

Ontario's Workforce Priority stream uses an Expression of Interest system to rank eligible applicants. The scoring framework considers NOC TEER and occupational category, wage (job-offer applicants), Ontario experience, Canadian earnings history, immigration status, education, language and work location. The theoretical maximum is 132 points for job-offer applicants and 117 for eligible self-employed physicians.

The October 2026 update awards 10 points to a candidate who earned at least CAD $80,000 in one qualifying calendar year, demonstrated by a CRA Notice of Assessment from the previous five years.

Eligibility is separate from your EOI score

A high score does not establish eligibility. Most candidates need a qualifying full-time permanent Ontario job offer from an eligible employer. TEER 0–3 and TEER 4–5 job offers have different work experience, education and language requirements. Qualifying self-employed physicians follow a separate pathway.

For TEER 0–3, the ordinary language benchmark is CLB 6 across all abilities, with exceptions for specified skilled trades (CLB 5) and certain recent Ontario graduates. For TEER 4–5, CLB 4 is generally required. Applicants must meet every applicable condition and be invited before applying for nomination.

Frequently asked questions

No universal minimum score guarantees selection. Ontario ranks registrations and may issue targeted invitations.
Generally a qualifying job offer is required. The Workforce Priority stream also has an exception for eligible self-employed physicians meeting specified licensing and OHIP requirements.
No. An EOI registration or invitation does not add CRS points. A qualifying enhanced provincial nomination accepted in Express Entry may add 600 CRS points, subject to federal program requirements.
