In order to find new ways to improve application processing, the Immigration Department of Canada, i.e., Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), introduced the Advanced Data Analytics System to assist case officers in sorting and processing all Temporary Residence Visa (TRV) applications received from outside Canada.
Since 2018, IRCC has used advanced data analytics to sort and process over 1 million (TRV) applications from countries with high volumes of applications. Advanced data analytics helped IRCC in achieving considerable efficiencies by assisting in controlling the increased number of (TRV) applications and speeding up IRCC’s work by identifying routine applications for streamlined processing as part of its commitment.
With the help of an advanced data analytics system, files were processed 87% faster, which helps some applicants receive decisions more quickly, as this system handles a large percentage of the clerical and repetitious chores associated with sorting applications, allowing IRCC officers to concentrate on evaluating applications and making final judgments.
This system determines that an applicant is eligible but will never refuse an application. It will always send the file to an officer to determine if the applicant is admissible to Canada or not. Only the case officers will make the final decision on all applications, and only an IRCC officer can refuse an application.
