First Express Entry Draw of 2023
Canada held its first Express Entry draw of 2023 on January 11 (at 16:14:19 UTC). Since the last draw was performed on November 23, 2022, this one was eagerly anticipated by immigrants wishing to apply for a Canadian PR visa.
This draw was conducted for programs including:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and
- Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP)
Under this latest Express Entry draw #237, a total of 5,500 Skilled Workers, with an active Express Entry Profile, were invited to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence visa. The following are important details, including the number of invites sent out and the required minimum score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS):

According to IRCC 243,255 immigrants had successfully submitted their profiles as of January 11, 2023. And, based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, the highest number of immigrants, i.e., 70,204, have a CRS score of 351 – 400, followed by 64,866 immigrants having a CRS Score between 451 – 500.
