13 October 2026: Victoria has announced new fees for its 2026-27 skilled visa nomination program. The change affects Registrations of Interest (ROIs) and nomination applications for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).
| Service | Excluding GST (AUD) | Including GST (AUD) |
|---|---|---|
| Registration of Interest | 60 | 66 |
| Subclass 190 nomination application | 180 | 198 |
| Subclass 491 nomination application | 180 | 198 |
GST of 10% applies if the applicant is in Australia at payment. The nomination application fee is payable only after invitation, when an applicant submits a nomination application.
The ROI fee is charged once per program year. Withdrawing and replacing an ROI within the same year does not attract another ROI charge. A new nomination application fee applies each time a nomination application is submitted.
These are state service charges, separate from Australian Government visa application charges. Fees are generally non-refundable, with limited exceptions for administrative or technical errors or services that cannot be provided. Payment does not guarantee selection, invitation or nomination.
An ROI from a previous program year does not replace a new registration for 2026-27. Applicants seeking consideration need a fresh ROI when the program opens.
Victoria has also published additional information on selection factors and priority industries. The 13 October announcement does not set a program opening date. Applicants should review the new program requirements when released before finalising their plans.

The ROI costs AUD 60 excluding GST. Either subclass 190 or 491 nomination application costs AUD 180 excluding GST. With GST, these are AUD 66 and AUD 198 respectively.
Ten per cent GST applies when the applicant is in Australia at the time of payment. The fee depends on that location, rather than citizenship.
The separate nomination application fee is payable only when an invited applicant submits a nomination application.
Applicants with an ROI from an earlier program year need a new ROI for 2026-27 when the program opens.
No. Payment does not guarantee ROI selection, an invitation or successful nomination. Australian Government visa application charges remain separate.
The 13 October announcement does not specify an opening date. Further program information is pending; the fee announcement is not confirmation that applications are open.
