Skilled Trade Profiles for Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is one of the immigration programs managed by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) via Express Entry. This program is designed especially for qualified skilled trade workers who want to attain Canadian Permanent Residence.

In Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) it is mandatory for the Skilled Workers, to have at least 2 years of full–time paid work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled trade profile in the past five (5) years before the submission of application to IRCC.

These Skilled Trade Profiles are divided into two (2) groups of National Occupational Classification (NOC) i.e. Major Group and Minor Group.

Major Group

  Major Group 72: Industrial, Electrical and Construction Trades
  Major Group 73: Maintenance and Equipment Operation Trades
  Major Group 82: Supervisors and Technical Jobs In Natural Resources, Agriculture and Related Production
  Major Group 92: Processing, Manufacturing and Utilities Supervisors and Central Control Operators

Minor Group

  Minor Group 632: Chefs and Cooks

  Minor Group 633: Butchers and Bakers
