On February 28, 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP) held two (2) draws under the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) programs for targeted tech, healthcare, and education-related occupations.

  • After selecting a category that suits them, a candidate can register online and receive a registration score.

  • Each week, the BC PNP will run a tech draw to encourage the top-scoring technology sector registrants to submit an application (subject to processing capacity).

  • No later than 30 days from the invitation date, invited candidates must submit a comprehensive online application. The government fee of $1150 in Canadian currency should be initiated by the applicant.

  • The BC PNP will give the application top consideration.

  • After an applicant is approved, they are given a nomination, which they can use to file a petition for permanent residence in Canada.

  • Those who have been nominated and meet the criteria for their nomination will be given a work permit support letter so they can apply for a new work permit or renew their present one and carry on working while their application is being processed.
