Following measures to modernize the Canadian Immigration System and reduce the delays associated with paper applications, IRCC launched a new PR Application Tracker for spouse and dependent sponsorship applications.
As part of IRCC’s plan to expand the digital application portal to include more applicants in summer 2022, this tracker will allow applicants to access their application information and current status online.
This portal can be accessed by the sponsor, principal applicant (the person being sponsored), representative, or designated person.
All the applicants who use the Client Application Status (CAS) tool to check their application status need to create a new account to be able to use this digital application portal.
In order to register on the digital application portal, an applicant needs to present the below-mentioned details. Details include:
- Unique Client Identifier (UCI) or Client I’D
- Application Number
- First and Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
This Digital Application Portal will only share the status after the applicant has received an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) letter or email. Until then, the applicant will only be able to see:
- The date IRCC got applications,
- The name of the sponsor, and
- The contact information of the principal applicant
