Canada issued 5,000 invitations to apply for permanent residence in Express Entry draw #452, held on 27 October 2026. The French-language proficiency round had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 407.
IRCC’s official round record and Ministerial Instructions confirm the result. The category is identified as French-Language proficiency 2026-Version 2. These are invitations to submit applications, not permanent residence approvals.

The cutoff applies to eligible candidates in this particular French-language round. It is not a new minimum score for every Express Entry applicant. At the lowest invited score, IRCC uses the profile-submission date and time to resolve ties; the official threshold is shown above.
Candidates must qualify for an Express Entry programme and meet the round’s category conditions. The French requirement is NCLC 7 or higher in each of listening, reading, writing and speaking, supported by an approved test. The round’s instructions require French results less than two years old.
French ability alone does not remove the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trades Program requirements. IRCC ranks eligible category candidates by CRS. Our Canada PR through French guide explains the distinction between programme eligibility, language benchmarks and ranking.
IRCC gives invited candidates 60 days to submit the permanent residence application. Review the invitation in your account, the programme named and the personalised document checklist. Ensure the claims in the profile can be supported by the application records.
Changes in personal circumstances can affect the score or eligibility. IRCC advises recalculating the score before applying where circumstances have changed. An invitation is a step towards a decision, and does not guarantee approval.
This result does not establish the next draw date or cutoff. Consider your full eligibility and evidence rather than planning around a repeated score of 407. The Canada PR process overview explains the broader application stages.
