Manitoba invites 34 applicants in the new Manitoba PNP Draw for Ukraine

Manitoba PNP conducted its 12th Ukraine Draw for Ukraine Citizens on March 20th, 2023, sharing 34 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) for the citizens of Ukraine.

As part of the Manitoba government’s response to the situation in Ukraine and in accordance with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s special immigration measures for those affected, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) will hold routine Expression of Interest (EOI) draws for people who meet all MPNP eligibility requirements and are affected by the ongoing events in Ukraine.

How to apply for Manitoba PNP as a skilled worker overseas?

  • Make an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.
  • Upon receiving the Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA), submit a full application to MPNP.
  • Your profile will be evaluated by the MPNP officer.
  • You will receive a nomination by the MPNP once the profile has passed the evaluation successfully.
  • Now you have a set timeline of 180 days from the date of nomination to apply for a Canada PR Visa.

What are the eligibility criteria for MPNP if you are a citizen of Ukraine?

  • Expressions of interest were only taken into consideration if you met the following criteria:
  • If you were a Ukrainian citizen;
  • You must meet CLB 4 in each language band; and
  • Possess a valid language test;
  • Score at least 60 points based on MPNP assessment criteria;
  • Have a connection to Manitoba that can be proven (close relative, family-like, community, prior employment or academic work in Manitoba);
  • Be able to meet all other requirements of the Skilled Worker Overseas pathway, including adequate settlement funds.

Please be aware that CUAET holders who have worked in Manitoba for at least six months in any profession may be qualified to apply to the MPNP through the pathway for Skilled Workers in Manitoba. Candidates for the Skilled Worker in Manitoba program will be considered during the EOI draws.
